DRAG QUEEN BINGO
Drag Queen Bingo is one of our most popular events and happens every other month throughout the year. This bimonthly FUNdraiser is an absolute riot with a rotating
cast of drag queens, fabulous prizes, and more! Starting in February, bingo is held every other month at Lee Street Lounge in Charleston WV. It’s $20 to play and folks must be 21+ to attend.
PRIDE BOWLING
Pride Bowling is a fundraiser that’s fun for all ages! Pride Bowling takes place every other month throughout the year at Galaxy Lanes in Kanawha City WV. It’s $20 per person to bowl…with plenty of chances to win great prizes. Plus the Bowling Alley Drag Show is a must-see. Whether you get lots of strikes or too many gutters, you're guaranteed to have a great time!
KICKBALL!
The Sunday after Pride we gather at Shawnee Sports Complex in Institute to play kickball with other Pride organizations from around the region! Everyone is welcome to join our team!
PRIDE PAGEANT
This inclusive, edge-of-your-seat competition showcases some of West Virginia’s most talented entertainers. This May event crowns Rainbow Pride of WV’s Royal Court each year with the titles: Miss Rainbow Pride of WV, Mr Rainbow Pride of WV, and Rainbow Pride of WV Icon.
POWER OF ONE
Each year the board and members of Rainbow Pride of WV recognize individuals who make a positive impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ West Virginians. Our Power of One Honorees are celebrated at our annual Power of One Awards Gala.
PRIDE PARADE + FESTIVAL
West Virginia's largest LGBTQ+ Pride Parade & Festival takes place the first Saturday of June, in downtown Charleston. This all-day event includes the Big Gay Dog Show, Pride Parade, vendors, music, local entertainers, special guests, and national headlining drag queens and musical acts.
Drag Race & Block Party
The Drag Race is held the Friday before the Pride Parade & Festival. A charity event that is truly wet and wild. Teams race to put on wigs, dresses, and heels, all while spectators launch water balloons to try and slow them down. Bring a team of 4 to compete in this hilariously fun relay race all while raising funds for Manna Meal. Fun for All Ages
PRIDE NIGHT WITH THE CHARLESTON DIRTY BIRDS
The most colorful baseball game of the year…Pride Night with the Charleston Dirty Birds at GoMart Ballpark. During Pride month in June, the Dirty Birds host a very special Pride Night on a Thirsty Thursday that features a limited-edition Dirty Bird x Pride souvenir, drag show, $1 draft beers, concessions, and more.
RAINBOW RUN 5K
Run, walk, skip or sashay your way to raising funds to support education scholarships. Sponsored by Covenant House and Rainbow Pride of WV, the Rainbow Run is an annual 5k race that takes place in June. Funds raised from the Rainbow Run support the Rainbow Pride of WV Educational Scholarship program.
BIG GAY COOKOUT
The annual Big Gay Cookout is fun for the entire family! Every August, we invite the community to get together at Coonskin Park (10 min. from downtown Charleston) for games, vendors, entertainment, and great food. We provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings, while attendees bring a side to share.
